The Spelling Bee at Lord Milner School forms part of our language and literacy development programme. It gives learners the opportunity to expand their vocabulary, improve spelling accuracy, develop confidence and strengthen their command of language.

Through participation in the Spelling Bee, learners are encouraged to listen carefully, think clearly and spell words accurately under pressure. The activity promotes concentration, preparation, self-discipline and perseverance, while also helping learners build confidence in public participation.

A Spelling Bee is more than a competition. It encourages a love for words, supports language development and gives learners the opportunity to challenge themselves in a positive and supportive environment.
