Lord Alfred Milner was the British Commissioner who gave farms to British soldiers who wanted to stay in South Africa after the Anglo-Boer War.

1922 - Mr Salusbury came from Lleweni in Wales to South Africa during the Anglo-Boer War and settled on a farm in Naboomspruit where he started an English school for his own children.

Lleweni School in Naboomspruit At first there were 8 kids in the whole school, they all lived in the principals house. He taught them and his wife cooked - 2years later there were 16 children. He had to built two rooms (dormitories) on, there were only 2 classrooms

Transport from Settlers to Lleweni School and back. English children in Settlers needed a school and was taken to Lleweni school weekly on a donkey cart.

(1932 - 1934) First Principal of Lord Milner School (Farm) 1932 - Mr AJ Williams cut off a piece of his farm (Knapp) to build a school. 1932 - Lleweni School moved to Settlers

Mr Salusbury began construction of the old buildings - Lord Milner School Farm - in 1936 there were only 36 boarders.
(1937 - 1944) Mr Ross Bresler used his salary every month to buy bricks and cement, plants and seeds. "He created something out of nothing"

Mr Bresler continued the task of building hostels and classrooms.

These were used for Syringa trees to grow.

The large bricks (Cavity blocks) used to build the Old Hall were made by Mr Bresler and the children More than 3000 bricks were used to build the school. The 4 classes was build around the school hall

Milner Hall opened on 20 September 1934 - In those days, it was the Dining Hall.

Today it is our School's Chapel.

(1952 - 1969) Mr Acres was the principal of Lord Milner School and then he started Settlers Agricultural High School - (1969 - 1985)

New School Buildings - opened in 1972 Unveiling of the plaque to mark the commencement of the new Boarding Complex.

1980 Mr C Allman was appointed as Principal

1993 Mr T Sayers was appointed as Principal

1 October 2000 Mr H van Aardt was appointed as Principal
