Hostels / Boarding
Intake: Ages 5 to 14
The boarding homes at Lord Milner School provide a safe and caring home-away-from-home for learners. As a rural school serving families from surrounding farms, towns and further afield, our boarding facilities help make quality education accessible to learners who are unable to travel to school daily.
Lord Milner School offers well-structured boarding facilities for Junior Boys in Rhodes Boarding Home, Senior Boys in Monty Boarding Home and the Girls in Rainbow Boarding Home.
Accommodation is comfortable and practical, consisting of two- and four-bed dormitories where each child is provided with their own personal locker. Every boarding home is managed by a dedicated matron who oversees the health, wellbeing, and daily domestic needs of the children, while a Senior Head of Hostels ensures the smooth operation and overall management of the entire boarding complex.
Boarding life at LMS offers structure, routine, care and a strong sense of belonging. Learners are encouraged to develop independence, responsibility, self-discipline and respect for others within a supportive environment.
Through daily routines, study times, meals, friendships and some organised activities and self-initiated created play, hostel learners become part of a close-knit community.
